Here are some pictures from our Labor Day weekend trip to Southern Shores, North Carolina. We watched the sunrise, enjoyed the sun, cooked delicious seafood, and hung out in great company all weekend.

I spent last weekend with friends at a beach house in Southern Shores, North Carolina. It has been about 5 years since I have been to the Outer Banks. We just hung out drinking, smoking, chilling, and grilling. It was a lot of fun.

I took these pictures just over three years apart from roughly the same vantage point at the southern end of the street I grew up on in Long Beach. Rebuilding from Hurricane Katrina has been an extremely slow effort in many areas of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
